“We had a great experience on this trip with our guide, Deo. First we went to the village to start the waterfall hike where we had the traditional kava ceremony. Then a local guide walked us to the waterfall (about a half hour walk) and we had a great swim in the cool creek there. Then we stopped for a nice lunch and then drove to the sand dunes. Here there were two self- guided hike options - a longer (about 2 hours) and a shorter (one hour ) hike. We did the shorter one and had a lovely hike through the dunes and along the beach. Overall, it was…”

“our guide/ driver was great. But we should have been given more information on what to bring/ what shoes to wear. bring your own water bottles! On the trek to the waterfall we had to cross multiple knee high streams of water. we were wearing sneakers and socks and had to wade through the water in these. you cant really wear thongs either as you're trekking through a jungle to the waterfall. Ideal would be waterproof sandals or crocs. It also started raining heavily while we were going there with absolutely no shelter on the way. There is no place to change out of the wet clothes but the villagers…”
