★★★★★★★★★★4.9 · 57 reviews · 3 hours · from $99

From Nadi or Denarau, join a three-hour evening visit to a local Fijian village. Guides such as Lolo and Tino bring the history to life with humor, then lead you through a kava ceremony, lovo dinner, Meke dancing, and a fire performance. Expect hotel transfers, audience participation, and a lively look at traditional Fijian customs.

“I was not initially expecting much but turned out to be a pleasant surprise and highly recommend it. The tour introduces you to Fijian culture of days past and is quite an immersive experience. Unfortunately the food options for us vegetarians weren't as great as for the rest but it is still alright. The fire dance portion was just splendid. Pretty much everyone in the tour ended up participating in the dance routines and it was just an amazing way to end a night. Must do!”

“Visiting the Food bowl, the pottery village where we danced with the ladies after the welcome ceremony. Views from the lookout at the national park. Our local driver Morrie customised our tour and showed us the sand dunes where they trained for the rugby and views from various locations that he knew would give great pictures of the river and town.”

Fiji: Cultural Island Adventure & Jungle Cruise Experience

4.Fiji: Cultural Island Adventure & Jungle Cruise Experience

★★★★★★★★★★4.0 · 6 reviews · 8 hours · from $123

Spend eight hours traveling from Nadi or the Coral Coast to Robinson Crusoe Island by 45-minute jungle cruise. You’ll see fire walking, weaving, carving, pottery, cooking, and dance, then eat a lovo buffet and choose from snorkeling, swimming, and selected non-motorized activities. Bring a towel, swimwear, sunscreen, and patience for pickup details.

“The activity wasn’t bad but could be improved. Pick-up at the hotel was a bit confusing, because this experience according the driver was called Robinson Crusoe Experience, not the name we had on the tickets. It’s written nowhere that they take you to a private island resort. The jungle cruise is pretty boring, none of the staff is talking, playing music or explaining where we were going. The resort itself is very basic, the sea was unsafe due to sting rays and the pool was full of gunk. I’ll give it 3 stars anyway because the staff was super kind and lovely. If you go during summer be prepared for…”
